Terms & Conditions

Version 2026-08-01

1. Consortium membership

DOT Drivers ("the Consortium") provides enrollment in a random drug and alcohol testing pool for motor carriers subject to 49 CFR Part 382. Membership is billed monthly at $20 for the first driver and $10 for each additional driver. You may cancel at any time; coverage ends at the end of the paid billing period.

2. Testing fees

Every enrolled driver requires an initial (pre-employment) DOT drug test. A one-time fee of $80 per driver is collected with your first payment, and for drivers added later it is charged to your payment method on file when the driver is added.

When one of your drivers is randomly selected for testing, a fee of $80 per test is charged to your payment method on file. Testing selections occur quarterly, in January, April, July and October.

A test cannot be scheduled until its fee is paid. If the fee remains unpaid, the test is marked unschedulable and reported as a refusal to test, which is treated as a failed test under DOT regulations.

3. Your responsibility: keeping the driver list current

You are solely responsible for keeping your driver list accurate and up to date. In the month before each testing quarter (December, March, June and September) we will ask you to review and approve your driver list by email or from your dashboard.

If you do not approve or update your driver list before the start of the testing quarter, your existing list is automatically accepted as-is.

You acknowledge that if a driver who no longer works for your company remains on your list and is randomly selected, the missed test may be recorded as a refusal to test, which is treated as a failed test under DOT regulations. Remove departed drivers promptly to avoid this.

4. Driver Qualification File add-on

DQF management is an optional add-on billed at $5 per driver per month, prorated when enabled or when drivers are added or removed. It provides document storage, expiration tracking and reminders for the driver qualification file contents required by 49 CFR 391.51. You remain responsible for the accuracy, authenticity and completeness of the documents you upload and for compliance with all record-keeping requirements. Reminders are a convenience, not a guarantee; missing or expired documents remain your responsibility.

5. Accuracy of information

You certify that the company information, DOT number, driver names and driver's license details you provide are true and correct, and that you are authorized to enroll the company and its drivers.

6. Billing and cancellation

Subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe. Adding or removing drivers adjusts your next invoice on a prorated basis. You can cancel from the billing portal at any time. Cancellation removes your company and drivers from the random testing pool, and your enrollment certificate is no longer valid after the paid period ends.

7. Not legal advice

The Consortium administers pool membership and testing selections. It does not provide legal advice. Compliance with all applicable FMCSA and DOT regulations remains your responsibility.
